When a wedding breaks free from the confines of a traditional banquet hall, the natural landscape becomes the perfect romantic backdrop. Amidst the fragrant greenery and blooms of the estate, we erected a garden wedding marquee that seamlessly blends the natural scenery with the ceremonial space, creating a wedding sanctuary nestled within the landscape.
The venue retains its original lawns, mature trees, and water features, requiring no excavation or disruption to the existing vegetation. The modular aluminum marquee is secured using weighted bases rather than ground stakes, ensuring maximum protection for the soil and root systems. Featuring expansive transparent PVC roofing and sidewalls, the structure’s airy design blurs the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, bringing the surrounding flora directly into view. Sunlight filters through the roof, illuminating the carpet and floral arrangements, while a glance upward reveals a lush green canopy; as evening falls, string lights cast a soft glow that harmonizes with the twilight garden, creating an enchanting atmosphere.
The interior is thoughtfully zoned for functionality: a stage at the front serves as the setting for the exchange of vows; the central area accommodates guest dining with a mix of long and round tables; and designated spaces along the sides house the dessert station and photo-friendly lounge areas. The sidewalls can be opened or closed at will—retracted on sunny days to embrace the breeze and blossoms, or sealed during rain to ensure the celebration continues uninterrupted, effectively mitigating the weather-related uncertainties that often worry couples planning outdoor weddings.
The entire marquee was assembled in just three days and can be quickly dismantled after the event, allowing the site to return to its original state. Free from the heaviness of permanent architecture, it offers a space that is temporary yet exquisitely romantic. Without the need for extensive landscaping or construction, the modular marquee allows us to create a wedding immersed in nature—a celebration truly surrounded by greenery.
